Daily Dose of Blairmont 59

    Left and right:
  • 1826 Coleman Street (privately owned)
  • 1824 Coleman Street (MLK 3000 LLC, November 2006)

February 2008

Even with the windows ignominiously chopped down to hold standard-sized modern replacements, there's something to this pair of Italianate buildings.

A close look shows Victorian-era incised detailing, still visible under many heavy coats of paint.

The right one is in Blairmont's hands... yet another building endangered, another spot where a vacancy threatens to become a missing tooth.
